Can you bring my gray Ipe deck back to its original color?

Yes. We deep-clean the hardwood, apply a wood brightener to neutralize and even out the tone, spot-sand the oxidized layer where needed, and finish with a penetrating hardwood oil. What oil do you use on Ipe decks?

We use penetrating oils made for dense tropical hardwood, such as Messmer's UV Plus for Hardwood, Penofin Exotic, or an Ipe-specific hardwood oil. How often does an Ipe deck need oiling in Chicago?
