Every job we finish is covered in writing. Here is exactly what that means, in plain language.
18 months against peeling
If a stain or sealer we applied peels or flakes off the wood within 18 months of completion, we come back and fix the affected area at no charge. This covers staining, sealing, restoration, ipe oiling, fence finishing and maintenance coats.
2 years on workmanship
Deck repairs, structural work and new construction are covered for two years against failures caused by poor installation or workmanship. If something we built or repaired fails for that reason, we put it right.
Manufacturer's warranty
Stains, sealers, oils, lumber and hardware carry their manufacturer's warranty. We apply every product to the manufacturer's specification so that warranty stays valid, and we help you file a claim if a product itself fails.
Peeling is the finish lifting or flaking away from the wood. Every exterior finish lightens and changes colour with sun and weather. That gradual change is normal wear, not peeling, and it is what the reseal schedule on each service page is for.

The warranty applies to work completed by Deck Doc Inc., from the completion date on your invoice. Deck Doc is fully insured with $1M general liability coverage through State Farm.
